Lisbon, 21 April 2003 The Nonconformists advertising campaign for Yorn (Young Original Network) has won the Originality award presented by the magazine Meios & Publicidade. The award honours outstanding companies, products or people in the fields of the media, advertising and marketing in 2002.
The Nonconformists campaign, designed by the advertising agency The Basement, is aimed at the younger generation and is characterised by the originality and irreverence of its message. Through the use of personalities embodying the brand image, Yorn aims to transmit an image of respect for difference, freedom from prejudice and a desire to achieve the impossible.
Yorn is a Vodafone Telecel brand offering mobile and fixed telecommunications and Internet services aimed at the younger generation.
This is the 15th advertising award won by Yorn. Prior to this award, Yorn has won the Publish Briefing Special Design Award 2001 for the Yorn Corporate Identity and the Clube de Criativos Award 2001.
