As part of its TV Net Voz offer, Vodafone is today launching the Smart Router – the first with next generation Wi-Fi which enables its customers to browse at speeds 4 times faster than those possible with the current generation. The introduction of this new Wi-Fi standard (802.11ac) with the new 5GHz frequency and intelligent spectrum management provides unrivalled speed and stability, bringing the user experience up to a level comparable to a wired connection.
Also launched today is the Smart Router App, which allows users to remotely control their home Wi-Fi: switch the signal on or off, change the network name and password or control devices that are connected to it. The Vodafone Smart Router App is now available for Android, and the version for iOS will be released shortly.
Among the innovative features of the Smart Router are Guest Wi-Fi, which enables the creation of an additional wireless network to share with family and friends in perfect security, while protecting the privacy of the primary network. It is possible to customise this network to adapt it to the needs of guests, for example in terms of speed or its availability time.
Vodafone customers can start benefiting today from all the features of this new device, which will be included in the TV Net Voz offer for new subscribers at the promotional price of €28.90 a month for 24 months.
After strengthening its commitment to delivering the best image quality and the best content, such as the first channel in 4K UHD, exclusive access to the best Netflix content on the TV Box and the recent launch of the Globo channel, Vodafone is raising the experience and speed of its customers’ internet and home Wi-Fi to a new level.
About the Campaign
To publicise the launch of the new Smart Router, Vodafone is launching an integrated 360° campaign using the main ATL formats (television, outdoor, large format, radio and ATM) and with a strong presence in digital and social media.
The campaign, which starts today, will be fronted by actors Ana Guiomar and Diogo Valsassina. The characters they play recognise the advantages of having changed to Vodafone Fibre, which has improved their quality of life – “Switching to Vodafone next generation fibre was truly a great idea”.
The creative agency for the campaign is JWT, production is by Krypton, the director is Fred Oliveira and the media agency is MEC.
