Yorn Inspiring Future today begins another edition of its road show around secondary schools in Portugal with the aim of helping Portuguese young people to discover their vocation and equip them with the tools required to help them achieve their best. The project will visit 220 schools this year. Antonio Damasio Secondary School in Lisbon will be the first to host the initiative.
In its 4th edition, the Inspiring the Future Association’s project, with which the Yorn is associated this year as principal sponsor, will visit all districts of Portugal for the first time, taking detailed information on higher education to Portuguese young people and organising workshops, lectures and counselling sessions that will contribute to the development of the students’ soft skills.
The road show is supported by several higher education institutions and businesses, including over 20 employers who will meet the future talent to show them what the labour market most values. Vodafone, via Yorn, is one of the leading companies that will be present at the event.
Because it believes in the potential of the younger generation – and knows that it is an extremely entrepreneurial, proactive and creative generation – Yorn challenges all young people to make the most of what they are. In this sense, Yorn Inspiring Future is an excellent initial ‘kick-off’ for every student to start to shape their future.
Yorn (Young Original Network) was created by Vodafone in September 2000 to address the specific needs of young people, introducing into the Portuguese market innovative forms of communication and customer relationship in this segment.
